When Bontempelli snapped truly to put the Bulldogs up by 19 points in the third term, the Demons looked gone.
This has been one of the most incredible periods of domination in grand final history.
The first two goals of the final quarter go to Melbourne as well.
That’s a nine majors in a row for the Demons and the Bulldogs are looking a shadow of what they were in the middle two quarters.
Ben Brown bangs home his third, and then Fritsch slots his fifth as they open up a game-high 36-point lead early in the final term, 14.11.95 to 9.5.59.
What a spectacular transformation in such a short period of time.

Where has this come from??
After seemingly being down for the count, Melbourne find themselves 24 points in front with 15 seconds left in the third quarter.
A sensational Petracca checkside dribbler from the pocket is followed up by a long-range Sparrow bomb and then a running Oliver major from 40m out puts the Demons up 12.11.83 to 9.5.59.
In the blink of an eye the Demons execute a 43-point turnaround!
This is incredible stuff.
Bowey chips it to Brayshaw who takes a courageous diving mark and from 40m out on a challenging angle, he bangs it home and puts the Demons back in front by five points with 4:08 left in the third term, 9.10.64 to 9.5.59.
Melbourne have kicked the last four goals to quickly erase their 19-point deficit.
How about the momentum shifts in this game? Don’t forget the Demons led by 21 at quarter-time!
Petracca bursts out of the centre bounce, bangs it long and finds Ben Brown in the pocket.
From a tricky angle, the former Kangaroo makes no mistake and all of a sudden it’s just a one-point ball game with 7:37 left in the third quarter.
The Bulldogs lead 9.5.59 to 8.10.58 and Melbourne have got back into this game thanks largely to their rediscovery of their attacking flair.
