Woman ordered to do 250 hours unpaid work after racial threats

A WOMAN used racially aggravated threatening behaviour towards another woman in Horwich, magistrates in Bolton have ruled.

Catherine McGregor, aged 51, of Penn Street, Horwich, had denied committing the offence on May 28 last year.

But she was found guilty after a trial, where magistrates decided her behaviour was racially aggravated.

She was ordered by the court to carry out 250 hours of community service.

As well as the unpaid work requirement, McGregor was ordered to pay a total of £745 in court costs and charges

Magistrates also imposed a restraining order on conviction, banning McGregor from having any contact with her victim.
